God is Perfect. No really, I’ve met God, and I know it’s true.
And because God is perfect, God cannot create anything that isn’t perfect.
I’ll be perfectly honest, I don’t really like the word ‘God’. In Christianity and other monotheistic religions the word refers to the creator and ruler of the universe and source of all moral authority. You know, the supreme being. But after having met God, I can tell you the word diminishes the God-Love experience. When I say no words can describe God, I mean that literally, as in a literal manner or sense; it’s exactly what I mean to say.
But let’s look at the statement: God is Perfect. When I make that statement, I mean that literally as well. My personal experiences with God have shown me that God is, in fact, perfect. In every sense of the word and beyond. But because we keep using words to try to describe that which is beyond recognition by an ego mind, in this way nothing we say or do in that description can be perfect.
My issue isn’t with the perfection of God.
It’s with the notion that a perfect God can create an imperfect world. For millennia, humans have tried to figure out how to explain that. None have done a good job in explanation, and nothing in that regard makes any sense. Which is mostly because none of those explanations take any responsibility for this world as it is. Each of them tries to make us, we the people, small victims of the world we’re in.
We’re born as a baby all helpless; and we cling to the idea that we didn’t choose to be here. How could we? We were born into a world and couldn’t think, speak or do anything on our own. We use this as proof that we had nothing to do with making up the world we find ourselves living in. That so-called ‘proof’ allows us to project a God that takes responsibility for all the good that happens, and places all the bad stuff on specific individuals.
What Say You?
What I propose, and what I know Jesus was trying his best to explain is, what God created is not a body, but is a Spirit, free from the confines of a guilt filled egotistical human. What I experienced was exactly that. When I was ‘with God’, I was no longer a body. No longer a person. My ego slipped away from me, and what was left was the perfection of what God had created. It is a memory wrapped in the Love of God. The original Peace of God.
Here’s what I want you to do.
Sit for a while, maybe five minutes every hour or longer if you can find the time, and clear your mind. Just sit and when a thought comes to you, allow it to pass, and wait for God-Love to come into your mind. Start the process by looking at the Leonardo da Vinci painting and the child’s painting and thinking to yourself: Could Leonardo have made the child’s? Or would he have made the painting associated with him? Then think, using this as an example, could a perfect God create a world as imperfect as this?
In this way, we can all take responsibility for the insanity of this world, and allow God to take responsibility for creating only the perfect Spirit that is who you are in reality.
Hey, do me a favor and listen to some of my meditations. Let’s find the Peace of God together.
